Vamp'd Vegas hosted VOID VATOR from LA , THE BABES from Australia,
along with local band CRIMSON RIOT, for a rocking night with a couple of bands I have not seen before. It started off with local vocalist Roxy Gunn and her band CRIMSON RIOT. Roxy is a home grown talent who plays all over Vegas, and on this night she was a hit at Vamp’d with this group. Roxy is a great guitarist and singer, with radiant smile, red hair and innocent looking eyes, looks so comfortable on stage. Joined by Chris Reject on bass and Ryan J on drums, Crimson Riot was a fun band to watch.
For the second week in a row we had a band from Australia take to the stage at Vamp’d - THE BABES brought some Aussie rock to Vegas, and was another fun band to watch and had two guys and two females. Featuring J.D. on lead vocals, Donna D - Shredarella on lead guitar, Corey Stone on bass and Moni Lashes on drums, they describe themselves as sexy, gutsy rock and looked like they were having a great time in our sin city. Donna D. not only played guitar but also at the end took over the mic for some vocal duties.
VOID VATOR returned to headline Vamp'd Vegas, an in-your-face hard rocking band from Los Angeles featuring Lucas Kanopa (guitar, vocals), Erik Kluiber (guitar), German Moura (drums) Sam Harman (bass). As most bands who have been playing here recently, VOID VATOR played tribute to the late Vinnie Paul, who they called "the best damn drummer ever", and surprised the crowd by playing Pantera's "Goddamn Electric". As I looked around at everyone’s faces it told the whole story about how much they approved and were ecstatic at the choice the band made. Void Vator kept the set heavy, a mix of heavy metal and catchy hooks. Once again, this was another great night of music at one of the best venues in all of Vegas. A big thanks to Korie Koker and Vamp'd Vegas once again for keeping the local music scene alive in Vegas.
