CO-OP Band Live in Vegas Featuring Dash Cooper, Jeremy Tabor, Justin Swartzentruber and Nick Spann
CO-OP band, featuring Dash Cooper, held their new self titled CD release party at Vinyl Las Vegas Thursday August 9, which doubled as an Alice Cooper pre-party for his Vegas concert on the 10th! Alice Goldstein Entertainment along with Dollar Loan Center sponsored the rock 'n roll event, which started with a black carpet rollout outside the venue leading into the show. The carpet was filled with local rockstars and celebs including Dave Ellefson of Megadeth (whose label EMP signed CO-OP), Terry Ilous (former Great White Vocalist), members of local rock group Adelita's Way, Vegas celeb DJ Ashba, Stacy Blades (L.A.Guns) and his new band The Electric Radio Kings, Whisky Saldana, Frankie Sidoris (Slash), Host Phil Varone, Members of Driven, Nikki Blakk (Monsters of Rock Cruise) with DJ Cip Cipriano (QBar SF), Frank Domino (Angel), Mandy Lion, Chuck Garrick and Calico Cooper (Beasto Blanco), Mariah Elisabeth and Queen's Riot Band, and culminated in a entire Alice Cooper group portrait, with Dash, Calico, Wife Sheryl and extended kids and family.
The show moved inside the venue for the live portion of the night, and hosting the event was former Saigon Kick drummer Phil Varone, who did a great job and gave away prizes during breaks between bands. Local acts Queen's Riot and The Electric Radio Kings played sets to get the show under way, but the main event was the live performance from Dash Cooper's band CO-OP.
Phoenix's CO-OP made for an impressive debut headlining show, Dash has a great voice, melodic yet powerful, and his band is unbelievable, with Jeremy Tabor on guitar, Justin Swartzentruber on bass and Nick Spann on drums, who come together for a mix of post grunge and a 70's vibe classic hard rock sound. CO-OP sound nothing like dad Alice, although they aren't hiding their link to the shock rock legend - Alice Cooper guests on the new cd on the track "Old Scratch", and although he didn't make it onto the stage for this Vegas show, he and family were there supporting from a VIP table for the whole set. The reaction from the packed Vinyl venue was just as you would expect from a band this good, the crowd loved them, from the fans to the VIPs. Congrats to CO-OP on a great new release - for more dates and news on the band visit their FB HERE .
