Dark Folk Artist AMIGO THE DEVIL Reveals Haunting Rock-Driven Track, "Hell and You"
Listen Now via Metal Injection
New Album, Everything Is Fine, out October 19, 2018 via Regime Music Group
Since his humble beginnings, Danny Kiranos - better known to the masses as his musical counterpart AMIGO THE DEVIL - has been challenging the expectations of folk music. Owing to his use of morbid, yet oddly romantic lyrical themes and musical stylings, it comes as no surprise that he has swiftly turned the heads of heavy metal and alternative rock fans too.
AMIGO THE DEVIL's devoted underground cult-following has blossomed throughout the past few years - doubtlessly enhanced by his recent tours/performances with the likes of Ghost Bath, Pig Destroyer, SunnO))), Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Rotting Out and Neurosis, and his 2015 7" split with Godhunter - and more recently, his inclusion on the bills at the upcoming CrucialFest 8 in Salt Lake City (Neurosis, Chelsea Wolfe, Pig Destroyer, Russian Circles) and Sacramento's Monster Energy Aftershock Festival (System of a Down, Deftones, Alice In Chains, Incubus). He has amassed respect from fans and bands alike who have all helped to spread the shadowed word of AMIGO THE DEVIL outside of the folk music community.
Today, fans can get a taste of one of the most haunting, rock-driven tracks cut from AMIGO THE DEVIL's upcoming full-length album Everything Is Fine - out October 19 via Regime Music Group - entitled "Hell And You", via Metal Injection. With one listen it's clear as to why fans of heavy music have gravitated towards AMIGO THE DEVIL.
AMIGO THE DEVIL comments about the track: "Everyone thinks their love story is unique, and rightfully so,
because it is. I just wanted to write one from a perspective that I'm more familiar with.
One that isn't the same fairytale we've heard over and over."

Everything Is Fine was produced by Ross Robinson (Korn, Glassjaw, At The Drive In) and features drummer Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage) sitting in on the entire recording session. The album was recorded at Valentine Studios, a time capsule untouched since the 70's with all the original gear and atmosphere. Everything was recorded, mixed and mastered to tape to capture an absolute and pure brutal honesty.
AMIGO THE DEVIL will be embarking on a national tour in support of the new record. Despite being armed with only his vocals and a banjo/acoustic guitar, the live show is worlds away from what people expect of a folk show. Loaded with sing-alongs and an unsuspecting dose of humor to make otherwise grim topics accessible for fans of every genre, the songs remain deeply rooted in the tradition of story-telling that seems to be slipping away from the human condition.
