On March 19, 2025, Swedish metalcore band IMMINENCE delivered a powerful performance at Albuquerque’s Sunshine Theater as part of their Return of the Black tour. The evening also featured dynamic sets from supporting acts LANDMVRKS and JILUKA, creating a diverse and energetic lineup.
Jiluka started off the night, and interesting pairing with the metalcore of Imminence and Landmvrks, their visual kei metal sound and fashion a bit of a different vibe, but they made an impact and got the crowd going. The band has been around for a decade, but this is their first year touring the US and they are definitely making waves. New single "KVLT" made their set, check it out below. More on the band HERE.
Landmvrks really raged onto the stage, with Florent Salfati screaming top the crowd and the crowd screaming right back. These Frenchmen really had a fierce set, not surprising, and their blend of melody and metalcore with a touch of hip hop was a great seugway between Jiluka and headliners Imminence. The band has a new full length CD out in April 2025, The Darkest Place That I've Ever Been, a concept album that follows a lead character through Dante-like levels of hell and transformation. Pre order the CD and more HERE.
Swedish sensations Imminence blazed into their lengthy set with "Paralyzed", that showcased their unique blend of melodic metalcore, seamlessly integrating violin melodies with heavy guitar riffs for their intriguing dark sound. The combination of Eddie Berg (vocals, violin), Harald Barrett and Alex Arnoldsson (guitar), Peter Hanström (drums) and Christian Höijer (bass) really blast the fans with a wall of sound.
Their setlist included tracks from The Reclamation of I, (a 2024 10th anniversary re-recorded version of debut album I ) as well as fan favorites like “Temptation” and “Heaven in Hiding.” We were also treated to the live incarnation of their most recent single, “Death Shall Have No Dominion,” from the 2025 The Return of the Black (a re-release of The Black with extra tracks!) which stood out for its intensity, and showcased their musical evolution to the present. You can order these releases and more HERE.
