Backstage Bar & Billiards hosted another night of Nu SKool, with lots of featured performers and speical guest openers Nebula X and Dirt Halo. Opening this "Vegas

greats" show was one of my favorite local bands, for over 10 years now - NEBULA X always puts on a killer show. I would have hated to follow Nebula X onstage, they gave 100% and had the crowd on their feet their entire set. Nebula X performs nearly their entire show in Spanish, but no one ever seems to care, rock n roll is a universal language and if you are good, that's all that matters!

I haven't seen DIRT HALO in years it seems., now composed of Bobby Santen, Raistlin James and Justin Callaway., a classic hard rock band with influences such as Disturbed, Sevendust and Breaking Benjamin. One of the highlights of thier set was a killer cover of TOOL. It was great to see these guys again and look forward to their next show.

NU SKOOL is an all star band out of LA, composed of members of Gemini Syndrome, Stitched Up Heart, Edge of Paradise and LA Story that will throw you back to the 90's with thier Nu metal comedy show. The band is all about fun, and does not take themselves seriously, they engage in back and forth banter throughout the show. Before they

launched into some KORN songs they put on

Korn style wigs and old School

tracksuits and also encouraged for the audience to show up in the same attire and to become part of the show. The setlist was composed of songs by Korn, Limp Bizkit, White Zombie, Linkin Park, System of a Down, Slipknot and Rage Against the Machine. Nu Skool was

amazing and Aaron Nordstrom (on vocals) has always been a great singer. Nu SKool are trying to do this monthly, and if you're looking for a show that's a throwback to the songs we all grew up with, then this is your show. Great music, comic banter and a perfect venue makes this a night out you will not forget. A big thanks to the staff at Triple B’s for always taking such good care of us and for providing a great venue for shows like this.
