Silversun Pickups put on an electric performance in Albuquerque NM at the Revolt Entertainment complex, with a crazy energetic crowd that just couldn't get enough of the Indie rock / shoegaze alumni. The band's las full length record was 2022 Physical Thrills, but they have been busy with 2023's three-track EP entitled Acoustic Thrills, as well as contributing to the Neflix series The Lincoln Lawyer.
The band is always a searing force live, and this tour is no exception - it seems no matter how much time goes by, they never miss a beat. Going on 24 years now, Brian Aubert and Nikki Monninger have fantastic stage presence, and the two vocalists blend so well together. From the opening bass lines in "Growing Old Is Getting Old", the crowd was enthralled, Aubert telling the audience it was so amazing to see so many people so exited, and the crowd kept cheering and singing. The show intensity grew through the lengthy 19 song set, with a good bit of music from the last record, highlights with the hits "Panic Switch", and "Three Seed", culminating in the climatic final "Lazy Eye". Just one hell of a show, and overall stunning performance.
Check out this tour while you still can! The tour runs through the end of June, and you can check out dates and more HERE.
