THE BOYS ARE BACK...! DROPKICK MURPHYS HIT THE BROOKLYN BOWL LV with THE SCRATCH

Dropkick Murphys made a stop in Las Vegas at the Brooklyn Bowl on the 2024 North American Tour, that continues through next year to a Boston St. Patricks celebration to wrap up in 2025. But we got the boys back in Vegas for a rowdy rocking show.

The SCRATCH opened up the show, and really set the pace with a high pace interesting take on Irish folk metal. The band is usually a four piece, but for this run had percussionist and vocalist Daniel "Lango" Lang centered front, playing a non-traditional drum-ish set up, with Conor "Dock" Dockery on vocals and guitar, and bassist Cathal McKenna swinging on stage left. The band has a really fresh and heavy sound and lots of energy, and really connects and had the crowd moving. The Scratch has two albums out, most recently 2023 release Watch Yourself, available on Spotify HERE. More on The SCRATCH HERE.

Dropkick Murphys came out swinging with "The Lonesome Boatmen" straight into "The Boys Are Back", fronted by Ken Casey who spent most of the first few songs in the pit singing to the crowd. Dropkick are always an interactive experience, Casey just loves to be down with the people. Between the band in the barricade and the whirlwind running and swagger on stage, the band really kicked off a tornado as they whipped through a pretty damn long set of faves and classic DM - from "The State of Massachusetts" to "Rose Tattoo", they had the crowd singing and drinking and surfing throughout the night.

We also got to hear new single "Sirens", from a new record slated for release in 2025. After a long, partying, sweaty set, the band wrapped up with a frenzied "Shipping Up To Boston" and "Worker's Song" to really go out with a bang.
