THE MIDNIGHT DEVILS at THE BONFIRE in LAS VEGAS

This was sort of a last minute show, and it was at a venue I have never been to, and with a band I had never seen before - but thats what makes shows like this exciting! The unexpected gem.

How do you describe The Midnight Devils? I think it’s best to take it directly off the bands website - "The Midnight Devils are a national touring glam slam boogie woogie rock n roll band from Omaha, NE.” Yes, yes they are.

The Devils are a non-stop party band (Sam Spade on bass and vocals, Sniper on guitar and Jimmy Mess on drums), with the kind of energy that I absolutely love. They give 200%, and they hit the stage running and kept that pace up until the end of their show.

The songs are simple, quirky and pure party music. During one point in their set Sam told the audience “ I see weed is legal here in Vegas, you guys live in the promised land, as he threw out into the audience green light devil horns, and some Midnight Devil's “60 dollar” bills. Besides their own material, they did some awesome covers, a highlight was a 10 minute plus version of Van Halen's, "Panama", and Loverboy's, "Working for the Weekend". During the final song Sam threw a bunch of balloons out to the crowd, and jumped off the stage to get down in the front with the fans.

The Midnight Devils are great showmen, the musicianship is top notch, and their stage show is a blast to see live. They not only tour the USA, but also have toured all around the world, having opened for bands like Yngwie Malmsteen, Enuff Znuff, The Bulletboys, and Pretty Boy Floyd. After the Vegas show the boys only had 2 shows left before taking a brief break, then are back on the road again for the M3 festival.

The band has a video out for “Get Laid”, filmed in The Office strip club in Lincoln,Nebraska, the first from their newest 2024 and third release So Hard It Hurts. The album was produced by rock n roll royalty Ric Browde (Poison, Ted Nugent, and Faster Pussycat), Share Ross (Vixen, Bubble) and Bam Ross (Dogs D'Amour, Bubble)

I can not believe I have never seen this band before now, but will not miss them again! For more about the Midnight Devils you can check out their website HERE.
