The Veronicas Bring Gothic Summer to Vegas

Australian duo The Veronicas made a stop in Las Vegas on their Gothic Summer Tour, celebrating the new album release of the same name, after a tease of pre album singles out late 2023. The album is through John Feldman’s Big Noise, and the Origliasso twins were integral in marketing and driving the album, and collaborated with a host of guests on the record, most notably Travis Barker and X Factor’s Sierra Deaton. It’s been a decade since the sis' have played in Las Vegas, and they’re back in a big way!

Fans were packed against the barricade at the House of Blues in LV, as Lisa and Jessica Origliasso strutted onto the stage amid a sea of blasting lights and smoke to “Take Me On The Floor”, and had them singing along and dancing from the start.  “Everything I’m Not” and “Hook Me Up” kept everyone moving, before the pair began chatting and joking with the crowd - then the gals sat down at the edge of the stage and just turned the show into a

impromptu meet and greet, telling anecdotes and singing lines from fan requested tunes, even showing off Grinch socks under sparkly boots (“I am out of clean socks! The tour is almost over and I’m running out of clean underwear”). The interaction was a treat for the front

rows, very intimate and the twins really connected with the fans, reaching out with the mic and letting them ask questions and talk too for a pretty long break. The conversations ended and the music continued with an acoustic rendition of “Ribcage” off Gothic, and then emotional ballad “You Ruin Me”, before getting the dance party back on with “This Is How It Feels”. The beat stayed strong for the rest of the set, with two more songs off the new record, and wrapped up to the full tilt hit “Untouched” to a massive response.

The tour is winding down, just one more date in LA. before The Veronicas can take a break and do laundry lol. Vegas was a really fun night of old and new songs, and the Origliasso twins really made their mark.
