WWWY Sideshow : A DAY TO REMEMBER blast the BleauLive at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas to Kick off the weekend

A Day To Remember kicked off their pre- When We Were Young 'Sideshow' at the Fontainebleau Casino with confetti bombs and "Sticks and Bricks", blasting the crowd and starting a frenzy of surfing and mosh pits for a crazy 'night' to remember. This was a chance to see the band with a full length set before the WWWY weekend festival run, and the hard core fans did not pass it up - the BleauLive Theater was packed, and fans screamed "where were you when my walls came falling down?" en mass, blowing up the place from song one.

Jeremy McKinnon paced along a front raised platform, leading the crowd in the anthemic "All I Want" in front of a background of huge video screens, with everyone singing so loud he was almost overpowered. The energy was insane, and bodies flew, and it only got harder and faster with "2nd Sucks" and "Paranoia".

I had seen a few musicians from various WWWY acts in venue prior to the show, one being several members of The Devil Wears Prada, and sure enough when the pace reached a frenzy, Mike Haranica jumped on stage with McKinnon for "I'm Made of Wax, Larry" from the band's 2009 breakthrough album Homesick. And things got even more crazy.

ADTR pummeled the fans with a 20 plus song set, having to stop the show twice briefly for crowd injuries (it got rough out there), but none the less, the energy never wavered, the show carried on. We got to hear "Welcome to the Family" for the first time live in over a decade, the new 2024 single "Feedback", and the set wrapped up with the emotional sing-a-long "If It Means A Lot To You".

No one was leaving yet though, the band was back out moments later for a harder finale, returning with a powerpacked encore of classic "Homesick", and wrapping up the show with "The Downfall of Us All".

The band plays the When We Were Young Vegas Fest, and then has more US date through early November before heading out of the country. More on tour, music and more HERE.
